Defibrillator training at CVL

At the beginning of July, Chapman Ventilation held training sessions to teach our staff a key life skill; how to operate a defibrillator.

The training was run by our Health and Safety lead and First Aider, Pierre, and numerous team members volunteered to attend.

During the sessions, Pierre briefed our staff on what to do if you come across someone who has a cardiac arrest, how to operate a defibrillator and how to perform CPR. Everyone was given the opportunity to get familiar with the defibrillator device and practice using it on a Resusci Anne CPR doll.

In an emergency, every minute is crucial and so we were eager to give our members of staff the time to gain knowledge and confidence on how to use this life saving equipment.
