Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate all of the fantastic ladies who work at Chapman Ventilation.
Our business operates in a male dominated industry, but despite this, we are proud that almost a fifth of our workforce are women.
Working in departments across Head Office, the ladies hold a variety of key roles that contribute to the success of our business. These roles include Finance Administrator, Production Office Manager, Executive Assistant and Marketing Lead, Project Administrator, HR Assistant and Maintenance Team Leader. We also have female representation in our Senior Management Team, in the position of Head of HR.
Training and developing is important to us at Chapman Ventilation and we invest in our team to provide fulfilling and rewarding jobs, as well as provide career progression. We recently organised Management Training for Vicky and Jade, who both lead teams within our Maintenance department. In addition, we encourage peer learning and networking and are fortunate that our sponsorship of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce allows us to attend numerous events throughout the year.
A highlight in their calendar is the Women in Leadership conference. This year the all day event was held on 1 March at Sopwell House and attended by three members of our team; Katie, Vicky and Jade. The guest speakers included Annie Brewster, past Chairman of Hertfordshire County Council 2022-2023, and Christine Armstrong, author, speaker and adviser to business leaders.
Katie, Executive Assistant and Marketing Lead, said “the Women in Leadership conference was really powerful. The speakers were inspiring and it was brilliant to be in a room with over 200 people to share experiences and celebrate success.”
Thank you to all of the women in our business that make Chapman Ventilation the business it is today.
