We’ve worked with Burger King extensively, maintaining their 200+ strong UK portfolio and delivering complete fit-outs for new openings. February 2021 saw the handover of a new Burger King restaurant in Barrow-in-Furness. Set on a retail park, the new site includes a drive-thru and outdoor seating areas.
Fast-food settings have a specific set of ventilation needs which we worked closely with Burger King to ensure were met. Grill cooking is an aggressive style and demands an HVAC system that can keep up. Our Canopy Containment Air system ensures no cooking odours escape into customer spaces and allows for a rapid turnover – meaning fast food can stay fast!

Home of The Whopper
Burger King first launched over 60 years ago in Florida, USA. The group now operate globally through a franchised model of over 18,000 outlets worldwide. The instantly recognisable chain remains hugely popular and holds a firm position as one of the UK’s largest fast-food chains. The menu has seen change over the years, but one item remains a constant: The Whopper has been synonymous with Burger King since it first hit menus in 1957. From advertising campaigns to kiosk-style Whopper Bars, it’s safe to say the global icon isn’t going anywhere. Further afield you may find some more exotic offerings – such as the Spicy Shrimp Whopper available in Japan or Poutine with Bacon at Canadian outlets.
Project Management
As always, the entire scope of our involvement was overseen by a Chapman Ventilation Project Manager. PM Will worked closely with the Burger King team to ensure that deadlines were met, and clear communication was maintained throughout. From initial briefing to design, manufacture, installation and final handover, it’s been a pleasure to work with Burger King on this new site.
