Restaurant and bar operator The Alchemist have joined forces with local charities to help raise awareness on the issue of food poverty. Customers can now donate a tin of non-perishable food on Thursday 29th August to any Alchemist bar, which will then go to the local food bank. The Alchemist will offer a cocktail called ‘The Colour Changing One’ to every customer that donates a food item. The cocktail contains Grey Goose vodka, Briottet apple, soda, citrus and “magic”.
Hannah Plumb, Head of Restaurants at The Alchemist, said: “These are truly fantastic local charities tackling food poverty across the UK which is an issue we’re particularly passionate about at The Alchemist. This activity is a fun and engaging way to encourage customers to donate to their local food banks, who are in need of donations now more than ever.”
